Stay copyright-safe Using creative commons images? Prove you have the right with ImageStamper.
ImageStamper is a free tool for keeping dated, independently verified copies of license conditions associated with creative commons images. You can use it to safeguard your use of free images from license changes, or to prove you are the original image creator. Simply paste the URL of the page that contains the image you intend to use. ImageStamper will produce a timestamp of the image's license and will store this timestamp permanently in your account. The timestamp proves you obtained the image under that license and you can show it to others using a unique permalink. Sign up and start using ImageStamper now - it only takes a few moments!

Whether you are a blogger, a PR agency, a freelance photographer or a media production company, ImageStamper will give you peace of mind when it comes to using creative commons images.
  • Image user? Use ImageStamper to keep dated records of licenses under which you obtained your images. This way, even if one of the images is removed by its owner or its license is changed, you can use ImageStamper to prove that you still have the right to use it.
  • Image owner? Use ImageStamper to keep a dated record for each new image you upload. This will help you prove that you were the first to publish the image online. It will also show how the image was licensed when you uploaded it.
The service is in early beta. Currently the service works with images hosted on Flickr, but we will soon add support for images hosted on deviantART and a number of other image-sharing websites.
